19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a challenging year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's maiden trophy following the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt after March of that year.
The win also means the Russian has secured 21 titles at 21 different events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a title is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.
His retrieving play style and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and compete positively, supported by an better service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
He defended 4 early-game break points in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned the win with a point at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
